As noted in the sabbatical report, I visited Edinburgh in November 2017, primarily to consider the Scottish National War Memorial in Edinburgh Castle. This is however in the context of a capital city fully of memorials.
Photography is not allowed inside the National War Memorial. Anyone interested in the interior and its decoration is recommended to get hold of the beautifully illustrated book on the subject by Duncan Macmillan.

All photographs were taken either by me or by members of my immediate family and are copyright. They are however available to download or copy for use for any non-profit-making purposes. A report of their use would be appreciated.
No book illustrations, maps, postcards or other scanned material used in my "Aspects of Remembrance" presentation are included here.
